Hot forming: By exploiting the increased ductility and reduced deformation resistance of metal sheets at temperatures above the recrystallization point, the ultimate deformation of sheet metal during forming is increased and the springback effect is minimized.
This enables the successful manufacture of complex sheet metal structural components.
Superplasticity: the ability of a material to exhibit a relative elongation in excess of 100%
under certain tensile conditions, which serves as a criterion for defining superplasticity .
